River Network Housing has officially announced the expansion of its supported accommodation and community development services into Buxton. Alongside its core local services, the charity has established dedicated, high-quality supported housing projects paired with a brand-new, women’s only specialist accommodation facility designed specifically to provide safe, secure, and empowering environments for vulnerable women in the High Peak region.

Central to this phase of organisational change is the celebrated progress of the charity’s residents and interns. Through dedicated leadership and teamwork, participants enrolled in River Network’s cleaning, painting, and maintenance teams are successfully spearheading property transformations. The programme provides hands-on vocational development, empowering individuals to fulfil their potential while actively serving their local neighbourhoods.

“We are incredibly proud of our residents and interns who are living life with purpose and excellence,” said a representative from the charity. “This upward change represents both individual personal growth and a broader commitment to strengthening communities across Derbyshire. By establishing these targeted supported housing projects and our specialist women’s spaces, we are expanding our safety net to deliver tailored, dignified, and inclusive care.”

River Network operates as an inclusive Christian community dedicated to building brighter futures. With the new Buxton facility fully operational, the organisation is actively welcoming enquiries for general placements, its newly established female-specific spaces, team roles, and volunteer opportunities.

Members of the public, commissioning partners, and prospective applicants are encouraged to share these updates and connect with the organisation to explore available placements.
