The charity has confirmed that its rollout of crucial housing, social care, and youth initiatives will proceed at pace, entirely unaffected by any operational pauses or transitions surrounding the ongoing regional Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
This bold operational drive coincides with a major milestone for the organisation. River Network’s leadership recently celebrated an extraordinary “mail day,” receiving a personal letter from Prime Minister Andy Burnham. In the correspondence, the Prime Minister explicitly thanked the charity’s leadership for a copy of Terrys released memoir, Born Ready, while offering high-level validation for River Network’s localised approach to Britain’s most pressing social crises.
In his letter, Prime Minister Burnham reaffirmed his administration’s deep national commitment to eradicating rough sleeping, supporting NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training), and systematically transforming the social care sector.
