Prime Minister Andy Burnham Reaffirms Commitment to End Homelessness
Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced a resolute plan to tackle homelessness, vowing to end rough sleeping completely. “I won’t have that,” Burnham asserted. “Yes, there will always be people who fall on hard times. Life doesn’t always go to plan. But whether someone gets the chance to get back on their feet says something about who we are. It says something about the country we’re trying to build. I want a Britain where no one is written off, where respect is universal, and where the government doesn’t avoid a problem because it’s difficult, but rolls up its sleeves and gets to work.”

Andy Burnham and Terry Eckersley of River Network share much in common. Both have roots in music and a passion for Leigh Rugby, Terry’s place of birth. They were also brought up in the Catholic faith, which influences their commitment to community service and social justice.

Continued Expansion in Adult Social Care
River Network is also expanding its reach in adult social care, further supporting existing services and Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) across the region. This expansion ensures comprehensive care and support, setting a new standard in the fight against homelessness and unemployment.
