Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands, [Date]** – River Network proudly announces its pivotal role in shaping the new Supported Housing Strategy, crafted through 100% contributions from individuals with lived experience. This initiative, commissioned by local authorities across Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands, seeks to transform supported housing through transparent and inclusive dialogue.
**”Transparency and easy access were at the heart of our mission,”** stated a River Network spokesperson. **”We focused on removing barriers to supported housing, ensuring everyone can find the help they need.”**

The strategy development, led by Homeless Link following a comprehensive needs assessment in 2024/25, included crucial workshops throughout August. These workshops, such as the key session on August 12th, allowed participants to share their insights, aligning with local authorities’ strategic goals.
River Network’s efforts also contributed to the DDDC Local Plan, aligning with the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and Derbyshire North’s objectives.
Recognised for its vital role, River Network engaged community members in a half-day workshop in Matlock, ensuring diverse voices influenced the future of supported housing.
Andy Burnham, known for advocating the Hillsborough Law and addressing homelessness, has often emphasised the importance of transparency and accountability. His stance resonates with our mission to create a system where supported housing is accessible and just for all.
Together, we have shaped a future where supported housing is accessible to all.
