I do have some positives to share…
The raspberries were a hit! We made raspberry milkshakes, the kids ate a lot of them and took some home for their families, I took some round my local estate , we gave a bunch to the running club and any passers by and I also left some in the centres freezer so we can use them again next week.
One of the more sensible girls has also taken interest in the volunteer role as she wants it to look good on her CV for when she turns 15. I’ve informed her there is an availability for her to complete the youth work training course. We are enrolling her immediately.
We are started monitoring numbers more efficiently now.
We are starting a second night on Fridays and raised up new leadership structure to that end.
We are planning Christmas Youth nights and some Youth leadership involvement off site activities.
I’m also currently making a flyer and email to send out to local colleges and sixth forms as I think youth volunteer work would look great on their University applications.
